Renovations take many forms. Some are simply to fix a problem. Others are to change the look or to add new function for an existing room or structure. Remodeling and renovations needs vary but here are a few examples of some projects that we have done
.
Here we removed an old falling down roof over
the front porch of this house. The owners wanted to have it replaced with a
tiled floor for the deck. Also they wanted the door to the new deck to be
inconspicuous from the street. This was
accomplished
by using a window the same size as the rest on that side of the
house. Then inserting it into a custom sized door to hold the window and not
enlarge the space needed between the shutters.
This picture shows the deck from the street.
Another project was in a new house. The owner
discovered after buying his new home that the kitchen had two problems. The
stove vent a hood was not vented to the outside but recalculated to the kitchen.
And the refrigerator was located in the corner restricting the opening of the
door against the wall side.
We solved these problems by enlarging the doorway at the refrigerator.
Now the door could open all the way allowing it to be used. And we solved the
stove venting by ducting it through the ceiling and then the roof, using the
hood to make an improvement in the look of the cabinets and wall configuration.
This project was the repair of a bathtub for
one customer. She had problems with the plumbing. The plumbing contractor (not
us by the way) left her with her bathtub not working and in a mess.
After we reset the tub we could not match the existing tile. Most contractors
would have removed all the tile. But carefully removing as little tile as
possible and using a color to compliment the tub we repaired the tile surround.
with mix of old and new tiles.
Other renovations include such things as
And on and on. We can solve almost any repair or renovation problem you may
have.
